I have over 50 years of museum and collections experience, as a curator/collections manager and researcher, as a scientific visitor in various institutional collections, as well as conducting entomological field work on five continents. I have been a primary instructor for 6 entomology Collections Management Workshops (sponsored by the Entomology Collections Network and the U.S. National Science Foundation): 2016 (Smithsonian Institution); 2017 (Milwaukee Public Museum); 2018 (Californian Academy of Sciences); 2022 (Arizona State University); 2023 (Cleveland Museum of Natural History), and 2024 (Yale University). In 2011, I co-instructed collections management workshops pertaining to all natural history collections at Tel Aviv University and the La Plata Museum (Argentina). I am a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Institution, Curatorial Affiliate at the Peabody Museum of Natural History (Yale University) and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, an Associate Curator of Entomology and Museum Advisor at the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History (Tel Aviv University), and on the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Museum of Natural History.
